Collective Memories for Democratic Values
Empowering youth across Europe and Asia to shape tomorrow's democracies
The project
Collective Memories for Democratic Values
(CoMeDeVa) is a cross-continental initiative uniting Europe (Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania) and Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia) in a shared goal to amplify civic awareness and fostering political participation among the youth.
Our focus on Post-Soviet and partner countries resonates with a broader vision of empowering young people worldwide. We believe those countries have a collective memory about socialist era.
Delve into the historical significance of elections, legislation, government, and policing
While the perceptions of these concepts have evolved over time, they were once paramount to the citizens of the Soviet Union member and partner countries. By preserving and harnessing this collective memory as an educational tool, we strive to fortify the political awareness and active involvement of young individuals.
